| 内容記述 | Through the interpretation of visual metaphors of animals and still life in Hayao Miyazaki’s masterpiece The Boy and the Heron, this paper explores the symbolism of the parakeet, “Warawara,” and the pelican, which represent invaders, victims, and ordinary soldiers influenced by militaristic ideology. Additionally, by analyzing the symbols of “building blocks” and the “master of the tower”, which represent the corruption of power, the visual metaphors in the film are used to reveal the violent nature of invasion and offer a deep reflection on the thoughts and philosophy embedded in the work by Miyazaki. | |||||||||||||
