| 内容記述 | 広島県廿日市市に位置する御手洗川河口は，最大干出面積約4 ha の干潟であり，広島湾西部では広島市西区と佐伯区の間にある八幡川河口と並んで県内有数の水鳥生息地である。しかし，これまで御手洗川河口周辺に生息する鳥類相のまとまった報告はない。そこで，廿日市市御手洗川河口周辺の鳥類相の解明を目的として御手洗川河口周辺において，2017 年1 月から2023 年9 月までの週に1–4 回の定期的なルートセンサス法による調査を行った。その結果，『環境省レッドリスト2020』と『広島県の絶滅のおそれのある野生生物（第4 版）レッドデータブックひろしま 2021』に選定されている32 種を含む12 目37 科131 種（4 亜種を含む）の鳥類を確認した。 | |||||||||||||||||||||

| 内容記述 | The mouth of the Mitarai River, located in Hatsukaichi City, Hiroshima Prefecture, is a tidal flat with an area of approximately 4 ha on the lowest tide. It is one of the most important waterfowl habitats in the western part of Hiroshima Bay, along with the mouth of the Yahata River. However, no reports have been published on the bird fauna that inhabits the area around the mouth of the Mitarai River. Therefore, we conducted surveys using the line census method 1–4 times per week from January 2017 to September 2023 to elucidate the bird fauna around the river. We identified 131 species of birds in 12 orders and 37 families, including 32 species that were listed as endangered in the 4th version of the Japanese Red List (5th edition) and the Red Data Book (2021) on Hiroshima Prefecture. | |||||||||||||||||||||
