| 内容記述 | This report offers preliminary results of the Survey of Students’ Perceptions of Peace conducted in the 76th year after the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The survey was planned and executed jointly by the Yomiuri Shimbun and the Center for Peace at Hiroshima University between April and July 2021. Eight universities across Japan with diverse student populations participated. The purpose of the survey is to elucidate the students’ perceptions of the current global political climate and the prospect of world peace. Special focus is given to conveying the atomic-bomb experiences of Hiroshima and Nagasaki and advocating for nuclear disarmament, which the survivors (a.k.a. hibakusha) have campaigned for and wish to pass on to the younger generations. Only the issues pertinent to nuclear disarmament is highlighted in this interim report. | |||||||||||||
