| 内容記述 | In this research a half-structured interview was conducted with an aged man who has a disabled sibling. Due to the aging of the sibling, the purpose of this research was to make clear: 1) the way in which the man overcame the crisis he was facing in regard to his disabled sibling and 2) the possibility of clinical psychological support. As a result of the analysis of one case study, 22 separate categories were generated in regard to stages of youth, middle age, and old age. The subject faced crises in each of these stages, such as the death of his father, his mother's stay in a hospital, care of a disabled person, and news that he himself had cancer. Faced with these crises, the subject did not rely only on his own capacities and resources, but through help from society and friends, he was able to overcome them. Regarding methods of support, in addition to social connections and self-help groups, the involvement of a clinical psychologist at the time of the subject's overcoming the crises he faced and clinical support from an early stage in the development of the crisis were thought to be important. In addition, regarding future problems, it became clear that the problems of aging that we cannot conquer now will exist as ongoing problems. | |||||||||||||
