| 内容記述 | This study discusses motivation and strategy use of university students to learn spoken English in Bangladesh. A group of 355 (187 males and 168 females) university students participated in this investigation. To measure learners' degree of motivation a modified version of questionnaire used by Schmidt et al. (1996) was administered. Participants reported their strategy use on a modified version of SILL, the Strategy Inventory for Language Learning, version 7.0 (Oxford, 1990). In order to find out the factors of motivation and strategy use, the data of both instruments were analyzed separately. To understand the relationships between motivation and strategy use factors Pearson correlation (2-tailed) were examined. The findings of the study support several pedagogical suggestions about motivation and strategy use of Bangladeshi university students who are learning spoken English in academic settings. | |||||||
