| 内容記述 | The paper is an extrapolation of a tripartite classification of basic concerns in secondary education in Nigeria. Experiences in school counselling practice guided the discussion on the classification? the cause, the effect and the consequence-so as to arrive at a comprehensive picture of the main concerns of secondary education Nigeria. The discussion focuses more on an area which is often accorded little or no attention that is the third leg of the classification - the consequence. The consequence of the main causes of the problems in secondary education in Nigeria is largely student?specific with a far-reaching implication to the future and general well-being of the society. The student-specific concerns are presented and discussed from guidance and counselling perspective. A case is finally made for additional official attention to student concerns in order to be able to achieve the set objectives of secondary education. | |||||||
