| 内容記述 | This study explores the potential of ChatGPT as a tool for second language (L2) German learning. Two tasks were designed for a German language course aimed at third-year students in Hiroshima University (CEFR level B1): (1) composing a job application and (2) conducting a job interview. In these activities, ChatGPT functioned not only as an interactive conversation partner but also as a correction tool and language learning assistant. Overall, the tasks incorporating ChatGPT appeared to resonate with the learners, who reported that they found them valuable for practicing job application writing and interview skills, as well as for receiving corrections and feedback on their L2 texts. Through these tasks, learners were able to explore various applications of ChatGPT in the context of foreign language learning, including text correction, translation, clarification of comprehension issues, and both oral and written language practice. Nevertheless, the input provided by ChatGPT occasionally led to misunderstandings, which learners were not always able to resolve independently. | |||||||||

| 内容記述 | 本研究は，ChatGPT の第二言語（L2）ドイツ語学習ツールとしての可能性を探るものである。広島大学の3年生（CEFR レベルB1）を対象としたドイツ語コースにおいて，2つの課題を設定した：（ 1）応募書類の作成と（2）面接の練習である。これらの活動において，ChatGPT は対話的な会話パートナーとしてだけでなく，添削ツールや言語学習アシスタントとしても機能した。全体的に，ChatGPT を用いたタスクは学習者の共感を得たようで，応募書類の作成や面接の練習，L2テキストの添削やフィードバックを受けるのに役立ったと報告された。これらのタスクを通して，学習者は，テキストの添削，翻訳，理解問題の明確化，口頭と筆記の両方の言語練習など，外国語学習の様々な文脈でChatGPT の活用を試すことができた。とはいえ，ChatGPT によって提供されたインプットは時として誤解を招き，学習者は必ずしも自主的に解決することができなかった。 | |||||||||
