特別支援学校（聴覚障害）の教員を対象として、自立活動の指導経験や自立活動指導用教材のデジタル化に関する調査を実施した。８割を超える回答者が「手話や指文字」と「日本語の読み書き」に関する内容を指導した経験を有していた。多くの回答者が「日本語の読み書き」や「発音・発語」に関する指導に困難を感じており、その要因として、指導に求められる専門性を向上させるための機会の確保や、専門性の維持・継承の難しさが考えられた。デジタル化された自立活動指導用教材に実装してほしいコンテンツや機能として、情報の視覚化機能や添削・要約機能、習得状況に応じた出題機能、画像・動画処理や音声認識といった技術を活用した機能が多く挙げられた。また、デジタル化された指導用教材がもたらすと予想される教育的効果については、学習に向かう意欲や態度、学習効率に関する回答が多くみられた。回答者の多くは、自立活動指導用教材をデジタル化することが学習者と指導者の双方にメリットをもたらすと感じており、その実現に向けたニーズも高いことが確認された。 |

A survey was conducted among teachers at schools for the deaf regarding their teaching experiences and the needs for digitization of teaching materials for “Jiritsu-Katsudo” (independent activities). Over 80% of teachers had experience teaching content related to “sign language and fingerspelling” and “reading and writing Japanese”. Many teachers reported difficulties in teaching “reading and writing Japanese” and “pronunciation and articulation”. The factors cited included having opportunities to improve the specialized skills for instruction and the challenges of maintaining and passing on this expertise to junior teachers. As for the contents and features which are required for digitized teaching materials, many required functions such as information visualization, correction and summarization features, adaptive question selection based on student’s proficiency, and the use of technologies such as image/video processing and speech recognition. Regarding the anticipated educational effects of digitized teaching materials, many teachers pointed to increased student’s motivations toward learning, as well as improved learning efficiency. Most teachers felt that digitizing teaching materials for “Jiritsu-Katsudo” would benefit both learners and instructors, and there was also a strong demand for digitizing them |
