| 内容記述 | Early childhood educators play a pivotal role in fostering the development of children’ssocial–emotional skills. Accordingly, it is essential for educators to cultivate a mindful attitude, inorder to provide warm, supportive interactions and pedagogical practices that emphasizechildren’s autonomy. This study aimed to examine the associations among five facets ofeducators’ mindfulness—observing, describing, acting with awareness, nonjudging, andnonreactivity—and children’s non-cognitive skills. Data were collected from 104 early childhood educators responsible for children aged threeto five years, and hierarchical multiple regression analyses were conducted. The results indicatedthat different aspects of educators’ mindfulness were uniquely associated with children’soutcomes, even after controlling the children’s and educators’ demographics. Specifically,educators’ capacity for observing and nonjudging attitudes were positively associated withchildren’s learning-oriented behavior and social–emotional competence. These findings suggestthat educators’ mindfulness is meaningfully related to the development of children’s noncognitiveskills. They underscore the importance of mindfulness among childcare providers inearly childhood education and highlight the need for further research in this area. Given thatdistinct facets of mindfulness are associated with different outcomes in children, it is important toconsider the unique role of educators when designing mindfulness-based interventions to supporttheir professional development. | |||||||||||||||||
