| 内容記述 | This study reports on practitioners’ observations of childcare classes in the HigashiHiroshima Action Plan for Infant Education and Childcare (hereafter, “the Action Plan”) and toshow how training can contribute to improving the quality of childcare in the region. Itssuccessful implementation could also lead to the creation of a community where people can learnand grow together. The Action Plan combines two concepts, better early childhood education andcare and community development. One related initiative is the holding of childcare observationsclasses. The session held at Nursery T, reported on in this paper, focused on observations anddiscussions about childcare. During this session, staff from another nursery who had observed thework at Nursery T also recalled their own experiences and engaged in lively discussions with oneanother. This study found that observation sessions can improve the quality of local childcare andestablish a community where people can learn and grow together. Discussions on this topic canlead to greater awareness of the quality of childcare provided in centers. Further, facilitatingobservations of childcare classes using local resources, such as external advisers and universities,can aid learning for the entire community. In such a context, local authorities can gather theresources they need for training from universities and rely on active participation from researchers. | |||||||||||||
