| 内容記述 | This study aims to explore the transformation of a novice junior high school English teacher in her fi rst year of teaching using narrative inquiry as a methodological tool, and to explore what kind of reflection took place during the year. Five semi-structured interviews were conducted every couple of months, and one classroom observation was performed as methodological triangulation. The audio data were reconstructed into a ‘story’ through narrative analysis, and the characteristic refl ections were analyzed based on the ALACT model and the Onion model (Korthagen, 2022). As a result, I was able to depict a ‘story,’ in which refl ection took place according to needs while gradually making sense of the experience. In the story, she gradually became clear about her practice issues and was establishing her identity as a teacher, and refl ection was the driving force behind this process. Despite being a beginning teacher with limited experience, some of her refl ections were ‘core refl ections’ that drew on her ‘core quality’ due to the strong infl uence of ‘Identity’ and ‘Mission’ of the Onion model in her refl ections. |
