| 内容記述 | This paper analyzes Arata Osada's theory of social science, developed between 1956 and 1957, following Osada’s own logic. At this time, Osada was thinking, based on his own historical philosophy, about how modern humans survive in mass society, rather than focusing on the offi cial Marxist theory. To achieve this, he believed it was necessary to base pedagogy on social science, thereby analyzing and critiquing the historical and social conditions of education and obtaining a practical methodology to overcome its challenges. Referencing Osada’s contemporary theories on school moral education reveals the potential for a new approach to school moral education based on social science theory. For Osada, school moral education was not about learning morality through a specialized subject, but rather about developing the judgment needed to practice morality through school and classroom life. This inevitably raises the question: what are the social conditions necessary for practicing morality and moral education? If the social science provided a cognitive framework for analyzing, critiquing, and overcoming the social conditions of education, then pedagogy based on the social science should have been the discipline to analyze and critique the social conditions for practicing morality and moral education, and to overcome the challenges facing modern humanity. |
