| 内容記述 | When researchers plan to conduct research involving human subjects，the balance between the risks to which research subjects are exposed by participating in the research and the benefits to be derived from the research should be examined from the objective standpoint of a research ethics review committee. The ethical review systems that began in medical research have expanded to the humanities and social sciences. Although the principal need for ethical considerations for research subjects is common in all research areas，it is impossible to automatically deploy the same system from medical research to humanities and social sciences because the content and subjects of the research are different between them. In this paper，we have clarified from the previous research that the understanding of the research ethics reviews for research involving human subjects in the humanities and social sciences in Japan has been developed based on the autonomous and bottom-up act by researchers. The development of a research ethics review system that is appropriate to the realities of research in the humanities and social sciences will be beneficial not only to the researcher but also to the research subjects. However，as our online survey indicates，the tailor-made system for humanities and social sciences has not been sufficiently developed in Japan. We pointed out and proposed the external disclosure of information on research ethics review at each university to build an appropriate review system and to promote understanding of ethical considerations in the absence of research ethics guidelines in this field. |
