| 内容記述 | The aim of this study was to propose a model and practice approach toward outreach that aligns more closely with the school curriculum, addressing the challenges faced by performers engaging in outreach activities with schools, such as art appreciation meetings. One obstacle in outreach endeavors is the tendency for them to be conducted solely from the provider’s perspective, making it difficult to view them as “lessons” in the music department. Therefore, this study aims to incorporate outreach initiatives grounded in the lessons taught by music teachers, aiming to complement existing practices and enhance effectiveness in achieving outreach goals. To achieve this, a preliminary outreach survey was conducted among students and music teachers at an elementary school in Hiroshima Prefecture, followed by the implementation of outreach activities directly tied to the school curriculum as the primary focus of the study. The findings underscored the importance of thoroughly understanding the music teachers’ perspectives and expectations for the outreach during pre-conference meetings. It was evident that involving performers who were fully briefed on the content of these discussions significantly contributed to the success of outreach efforts. Furthermore, the study highlighted how such performers enriched children’s learning by incorporating their own insights into classroom performances and actively engaging with the students. | |||||||||
