In this study, we evaluated the performance of a silicon-on-insulator pixel detector, XRPIX8.5, as a scatterer in the ETCC. We tested an XRPIX8.5 chip with X-rays and gamma-rays and confirmed the linearity of the output up to 184 keV. Additionally, we built a simple Compton camera consisting of XRPIX8.5 and a CsI(Tl) scintillation detector and successfully reconstructed Compton events of 662 keV gamma-rays.
