| 内容記述 | In this study, we analyzed the discourse characteristics of refusals to re-invitations among native Japanese speakers and native Chinese speakers within their respective native language contexts. The results showed that, in cases of ultimate refusal, both native Japanese speakers and native Chinese speakers achieved the final refusal by using multiple semantic formulas. In cases of unconditional acceptance, in Japanese native language contexts, re-invitations were accepted by employing multiple semantic formulas, such as actively proposing "alternative plans" or providing "explanations of circumstances." In contrast, in Chinese native language contexts, there is a difference in that emphasizing the "reason" for the invitation convinces the other person, making a re-invitation possible. In cases of conditional acceptance, in Japanese native language contexts, there was a tendency to use "postponement" repeatedly. The refuser repeatedly presented postponements, during which the conditions for acceptance were clarified. On the other hand, in Chinese native language contexts, the inviter actively proposed alternatives, and the refuser adapted to these alternatives by attaching conditions, leading to eventual acceptance. | |||||||||||||
