| 内容記述 | This paper explores the translation and receptibility of Kawabata Yasunari’s post-war masterpiece, The Sound of the Mountain, in China. It employs a methodology that combines text data mining with both qualitative and quantitative analyses to provide a comprehensive assessment. The research examines library holdings, academic citations on CNKI, reader feedback from Douban and WeChat Reading app platforms. The findings indicate an uneven regional distribution of translated versions of The Sound of the Mountain in library collections, with university libraries having significantly higher possession rates compared to local public libraries. Furthermore, there are relatively numerous translated versions of this book, most of which are by professional translators with high academic recognition. Although the academic citation count for The Sound of the Mountain has gradually decreased over the past decade, it still exhibits a notable disparity when compared to Kawabata Yasunari’s other works. Reader evaluations are rich and diverse, confirming the widespread appeal and popularity of Kawabata Yasunari’s works among Chinese readers. | |||||||||||||
