The survey investigated first-year students' general knowledge of the nuclear attacks against Hiroshima and Nagasaki more than seven decades ago and their perceptions of world peace in the current geopolitical climate, particularly concerning the Russo-Ukrainian conflict. Eight universities across Japan, from Hokkaido to Okinawa, participated in this survey.
