As the job shortage problem for university graduates has worsened, 'career education' has been widely implemented in Chinese higher education settings. However, the China's 'career education'efforts have many problems, such as the lack of teachers with specialisations. Only a few surveys to date have investigated the process and actual conditions surrounding the construction of these problems. In this paper, the course of the expansion and the present condition of 'career education' in Chinese universities will be investigated.
