| 内容記述 | グロバール化とは経済・政治、文化など様々な側面において、従来の国家・地域の垣根を越え、地球規模で資本や情報のやり取りが行われることである。一面では、グロバール化とは各国の文化や言語の区別を超えることである。しかし、実際にはグロバール化が各国の文化と言語における特殊な概念を描き出す。本研究では、英語の"Culture"、"Manners"、"Etiquette"や"Behaviour"と日本語の“礼儀"、“エチケット"、“マナー"、“作法"や“行儀"を比較する。本研究の結果、誤解の間題点は文化的な概念の相違が言語の使用で見られることがわかった。本稿では文化や言語の関係性と解読の紛らわしさを明らかにして、英日翻成の欠点を説明する。 | |||||||||

| 内容記述 | Globalization, a development of closer economic, political and cultural relations among all countries around the globe as a result of travel and communication becoming easy. On the surface, globalization seems to surpass the cultural and lingual difference of each country by making it closer. However, the globalization in fact, strengthens the difference of cultural and lingual notions of each country. In this paper, we will compare the English notions of "Culture", "Manners", "Etiquette" and "Behaviour" with the Japanese notions of "Bunka", "Reigi", "Mana-a", Echiketto, "Saho-u"and "Reigi". The results of this research will show that miscommunication in language occur due to the cultural difference in the concept of each terminology mentioned above. This paper aims to clarify the connection between culture and language. By doing so, the paper will explain the ambiguity of decoding - that is the "weak link"in English-Japanese translation. | |||||||||
