学習者が実験結果から結論に至るまでの過程において, どのような根拠をもとに科学的解釈を行なうのか, また, その力の育成にはどのような授業方略が必要なのかを明らかにすることを目的とした。本年度は, 中学生にみられるグラフの作成や読み取りの特徴やデータの収集の特徴を, 質問紙調査と定量実験での学習者の活動の様子などをもとに調べた。 グラフの作成や読み取りでは, 「グラフの判断には, 既知のグラフの形が影響を与える」, 「原点に点があるものとして考える」, 「データが線上にそろわないと判断がゆらぐ」傾向がみられた。また, データの収集では, 「測定値を正確に読まない」, 「集めるデータの個数にばらつきがある」, 「目的に沿ったデータの収集が行えない」という傾向がみられた。そこで, 次の3つの学習指導の視点が必要であると考えた。 i 実験への意欲や姿勢・態度を持たせる ii 実験目的を把握させて, 目的に沿った方法を考えさせる iii データの意味を認識させ, 科学的分析や科学的解釈の手法を身につけさせる 今後は, 3つの学習指導の視点をもとに具体的な授業案をつくり,
