| 内容記述 | Seiji IMAHORI was born in Osaka in 1914, started at the Hiroshima Higher Normal School in 1932, and graduated from the Hiroshima University of Literature and Science in 1939. From 1939 to 1941, he stayed in Beijing as a foreign student, sent by Japan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Later, he became a part-time lecturer at Peking Normal University, where he continued his research on China's feudal social system. In 1943, he became a lecturer at the Hiroshima University of Literature and Science, and in 1951, became a professor at the Hiroshima University. The period of analysis in this study is from the 1930s to the 1950s. The analysis elucidates the following three points concerning IMAHORI's thoughts and actions. (1) The characteristics of IMAHORI's research on Chinese history, (2) the characteristics of IMAHORI's campaign against nuclear weapons, and (3) the purpose of establishing the school of integrated arts and sciences at Hiroshima University. Through the analysis of these three points, the role of Chinese historical research in the anti-nuclear peace movement and the possibility of academic activities in a local city are discussed. | |||||||||
