One case resulted in spontaneous abortion at 19 weeks' gestation and was subsequently diagnosed as an invasive mole and required chemotherapy. The other case was a conception following clomiphene plus human menopausal gonadotropin (HMG) therapy and resulted in a normal female infant  born at 33 weeks.
