This can be viewed as an extension of Satoh's simulation [J. Hydr., Coastal and Envir. Engrg. JSCE 628/II-48 (1999) 115] in which the standard Smagorinsky model was employed as an SGS stress model. Overall, the computational results agree quite well with laboratory measurements by Tominaga and Nezu [J. Hydr. Engrg.
